2005 On May 19, Larry Castellani transitions from Chief Executive
Officer to Chairman of the Board. Mike Coppola is named President and Chief
Executive Officer.On July 26, Advance acquires 19 stores operated by Lappen
Auto Supply co., Inc. The acquisition of these stores enhances Advance’s
presence in the greater Boston market.
On September 15, Advance buys 61 Autopart International stores in New England
and New York. Autopart specializes in providing replacement automotive parts to
commercial customers and will continue to operate as a wholly owned independent
subsidiary.
On December 28, former Advance owner and CEO Nick Taubman is sworn in as
Ambassador to Romania by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

2006 In September, Advance opens the 3000th store in Salina,
Kansas, part of the company’s Western area.
Advance Auto Parts celebrates its 5th year as a public company.
The Commercial Delivery program reached its 10th Anniversary and Commercial
Sales reached $1 billion.

First Quarter 2007 During the first quarter of 2007, the Company
opened 70 new stores, of which eight were Autopart International (AI) stores.
The Company also relocated eight existing stores, remodeled 34 stores, and
closed two stores.

As of April 21, 2007, the Company operates 3,150 stores in 40 states,
Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.

April 2007 Advance Auto Parts celebrates its 75th year in
business.

May 7, 2007 Jack Brouillard is appointed Interim Chairman of the
Board, President and Chief Executive Officer, Advance Auto Parts, Inc.
